Background

What's metafields?

Extending the shopline's default data structure with field and value that is useful to the merchant / customer.

How it can help the merchants?

1. Base on merchants' specific use cases, define & store new data value with metafields definition
2. Render & display metafield value on merchants' online store via the aids of storefront app extension

For example, if the existing fields are insufficient for collecting the necessary data or if you need a more refined front-end website, you can use Metafields to customize data fields to best suit merchants' needs.

Build add on features like adding detailed specifications and showcase videos in product details page, inserting unique promotional messages for individual products.

These use cases can significantly benefit merchants' business and help to boost their GMV.
